unseco- wORLD VOLUNTEERS WORK CAMP:
In 2014 Youth 2 Youth Zimbabwe hosted the first Work Camp that was attended by 28 young volunteers who were selected from a completive number of applicants, these participants come from a pull of both national and international applicants. The 28 participants come from four countries, namely Zimbabwe, Zambia, United States and France. They were engaged in conservation and preservation works at the site, the works included the removal of Lantana Camara, the Anti-litter campaign and promotion of youths in tourism. The Camp was organized in partnership with UNESCO, Zimbabwe Ministry of Tourism, Zimbabwe Tourism Association and Zimbabwe Wildlife and Parks.
This year the Work Camp will be Co-Hosted by youth 2 youth Zambia and Youth 2 Youth in Zimbabwe from the 3rd – 24th July, 2015 and will provide the participants with the opportunities contribute positively to the environment and the tourism sector under the theme: promotion of Eco- tourism and Volun-tourism for sustainable development and management of culture heritages. |
GENEVA DECLARATION -Regional Review Conference
Geneva Declaration on armed Violence and Conflict in Kenya
With an interest in reducing youth vulnerability to crime, violence and conflict caused by inadequate youth civil participation, dialogue and engagement, economic insecurity and unemployment; Youth 2 Youth Zambia participated in the regional review conference on Geneva declaration on armed violence and conflict . Youth 2 Youth Zambia committed itself to work in collaboration with the initiative called youths against violence and work toward reducing the vulnerability of youths to violence, conflict and crime. The regional review conference was attended by 100 stakeholders, legistraters and civil society actors. |
UNWTO- yOUTH FORUM ON SUSTAINABLE TOURISM
During the UNWTO 2013 hosted by Zambia and Zimbabwe, youth 2 youth Zimbabwe hosted the first ever international youth dialogue on peace and development.During the event Youth
2 Youth Zimbabwe partnered with the Zambian Youth representative to develop and
establish a collaboration that will take the Youth global village by storm with
its best practice and unique resourcefulness; the initiative is youth led,
focused and centered. The initiative thrived at the UNWTO youth forum
on sustainable tourism for peace and development as a resolution to champion
the growing challenges faced by the youths in the African continent and
globally not limited to lack of adequate civil participation and engage,
unemployment, high prevalence rate in epidemic and culture exploitation.

youth 2 youth business seminar
Youth 2 Youth Zambia participated in the youth business seminar organized by Youth 2 Youth Zimbabwe in collaboration with the UNWTO Regional Board for Southern Africa.
The seminar was aimed at mentoring youths capacity as entrepreneurs and creating partners for future collaboration and networking, and to motive and empower youth with the opportunity to share ideas as they begin to take the front line in enterprise and entrepreneurship, in turn creating their own jobs. it was was facilitated by the president of the UNTWO affiliate organizations Mr. Cuthbert Nchebe, Motivational Speaker Tabeso a local renowned business man, a representative from the gender department and the Deputy Minister of Tourism. |
